Understanding User Limits and Account Access

Last updated: September 9, 2025

If users are unable to log in to your Spacelift account, it may be related to your account's user limits. Here's how to check and troubleshoot access issues.

Checking Active Users

You can view your active users and API keys in the Organization Settings:

  1. Navigate to Organization Settings in the bottom left of your dashboard

  2. Look for the Users section to see active user accounts

  3. Check the API Keys section separately for any active API tokens

What Counts as a User?

User accounts include:

  • Individual user logins (including SSO/OIDC accounts)

  • API keys

User Limits by Plan

The number of users you can have depends on your plan:

  • Starter Plan: 10 users

  • Other Paid Plans: Unlimited users

If you need more users than your current plan allows, contact your Customer Success Manager to discuss plan upgrades.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

If users are unable to log in despite being within your user limits:

  1. Verify the user's email is correctly listed (depending on the provider this may be case sensitive)

  2. Ensure the domain is properly configured in your allow rules

  3. Contact Spacelift support if issues persist
