Flows - starting from a template

Last updated: October 29, 2026

What's in the gallery

The Template Gallery has ready-made flows covering AI agents, self-service forms, incident management and cloud provisioning. Each one shows the full flow diagram, a description of what it does, and the apps it depends on.

Browsing it is usually faster than building from scratch, even when nothing matches exactly — the closest template gives you a working structure to adapt.

Copying a template into your project

  1. Find a template in the gallery and open it.

  2. Use the copy icon on the example to copy the flow definition to your clipboard.

  3. In Flows, create a new flow in the project you want it in.

  4. Paste onto the canvas. The definition comes across as YAML and renders as blocks.

Before it will run

Install the apps first. The template's blocks reference app installations — Slack, AWS, Jira, whichever it uses. Those belong to the project, so install them in the project you're pasting into before you expect anything to work.

Fill in the placeholders. Templates use example values for channel IDs, regions, table names and similar. Work through each block's config and replace them.

Read any warnings on the template. Some carry specific cautions — the Jira self-service provisioning one, for instance, warns about using a constrained database user if an AI assistant will have access.
