Which region is my Flows organization in, and does it need to match Spacelift Deploy?
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Your Flows organization is created in the same region as your Spacelift Deploy account. When an admin sets Flows up through the switcher in Spacelift Deploy, the matching region is chosen for you.
You can confirm which one you're in from the URL: useflows.eu is EU, useflows.us is US.
Why it works this way
The native integration between Spacelift Deploy and Flows doesn't operate across regions. Deploy login, native access control, automatic event sending and the built-in Spacelift blocks all depend on both sides being in the same place. Matching them at creation is what makes those work.
If your Deploy account is in the EU but your team is in the US
This comes up often, usually because the Deploy account was created when the EU was the only region available. A few things are worth separating:
Flows runs in the EU; the things it talks to don't have to. A Flows organization in the EU can still call US endpoints, US AWS accounts and US-hosted tools. The region determines where Flows itself runs and stores event data, not what it can reach.
If that's a latency preference, EU Flows is usually fine. Flows is event-driven rather than interactive, so the round trip rarely matters in practice.
If it's a data residency or compliance requirement, raise it with your CSM. Options are limited: Migrating the Deploy account to the US is a manual process with contractual implications, and running a US Flows organization separately means giving up the native integration and using the Spacelift app instead.
If you already have a Flows organization in the other region
Some organizations were created directly at a Flows URL before the Deploy integration existed, and can be in a different region from their Deploy account. Those keep working - the Spacelift app in Flows operates cross-region and is unaffected.
To move onto the native integration, set up a second Flows organization through the switcher in Deploy. You can run both at once and migrate at your own pace. Note that app installations don't transfer, endpoint URLs will change, and there's no automated migration from the Spacelift app to the built-in blocks.
